What is it

The hand and wrist are essential for almost every activity. Pain, tingling or stiffness can greatly limit daily life.

What can cause it

  • Compression of the median nerve (carpal tunnel)
  • Tendinopathies such as De Quervain's tenosynovitis
  • After fractures or surgery
  • Osteoarthritis of the small joints

How we treat it

  • Mobilisations and manual therapy
  • Mobility, strength and dexterity exercises
  • Advice on posture and hand use during the day

What to expect

After a fracture or surgery, recovery follows precise stages. In overload disorders, improvement comes with load management and exercise.

How to prevent it

  • Take breaks during repetitive manual tasks
  • Maintain strength and mobility

Do I need rehabilitation?
